hard plastic outer shell.orange in color with stars.it has really sharp strong teeth and grinds very well.third little compartment catches the finer particles.comes in a nice gift box that makes a great gift.no complaints so far.
these are super bright .come with a little caribiner clip for easy hanging use.switch has 3 settings high low and s.o.s seem super sturdy .dropped mine and it still works .
