I have heard about water flossing, but have never tried it. I saw this water flossing device and thought it was time to give it a try. It arrived quickly and I pulled it from the packaging to take a look at it and put it to use. I was a bit disappointed by the feel. It was very lightweight, a little bulky in my hand, and I guess I was expecting something that required power of some sort. It does not require charging, batteries, or plugging in. You operate it with a button on the side. The tank is in the handle where you hold on, which is why it is bulky in the hand. There is a small rubber stopper on the back that you open to pour in water. To use you simply point and push the button. My first attempt hit my teeth and bounced back spraying my mirror. I learned you have to close your mouth to prevent that from happening. The second attempt (with more care to keeping my mouth closed more) I did happen to dislodge something I didn't realize was even IN my teeth near the back. So I can say it does knock things loose. But I don't know why it is called a flosser. I still had to floss to get what was between my teeth. So while I CAN say it works, I don't know that I want to take the time to use it when I can use my toothbrush and floss like I always have.
