This set consists of a surface-mount wall switch with mounting plate, an outlet receiver, and mounting hardware. It can be used to control a lamp, an appliance, any number of uses. It will control a power load of up to 15 amps @ 120 Volts AC. Installation is easy: Mount switch mounting plate using included anchors or double-stick tape, plug receiver into outlet, plug light or appliance into receiver. That's it!! I forgot: you need to install CR2032 button battery in switch first. That's all there is to it.
We are going to use it to control the light in our storage building from the house. The system has a range of 80 feet so it should work fine.
