Perfect Size for a Bird Bath!

I grabbed this COSSCCI Solar Fountain Pump with a nice discount through Rank Booster and I'm really happy with it.  I've been wanting to get a bird bath because I have lots of birds where I live, but I know that standing water can be a breeding ground for mosquitoes, which I also have lots of where I live.  So when I saw this little pump that's just the right size for a bird bath, I had to get one.  It seems really nicely made, considering that even at full cost, the price is very reasonable.  It's easy to assemble and comes with your choice of several tips so you can choose what your fountain spray looks like.  I haven't used it yet because I was waiting to invest in a bird bath until I could see how big this was and if it looked like it was going to work well.  But it looks great, so I'll be going out bird bath shopping this week for sure!

One thing to note, that you may not figure out from the listing, is that it doesn't store solar energy like most solar yard lights do.  It's powered directly by the sun through the solar panel, so if there's no sun or it's cloudy out, it won't be running.  It only runs when there is sunlight hitting the solar panels.  So I'll be making sure I have it set up in a spot in my yard where it's sunny most of the day.  I didn't take off a star because of this, because I feel like at this price, that wouldn't be expected.  I would imagine there are more expensive models that are able to store up solar energy for continuous use even when it's not sunny.  (And I always try to review an item and the features based on the price and not knock off stars because something doesn't have features that are beyond what I paid for.)

So I'd recommend this if you have a small bird bath and want to add a little fountain and circulate the water a bit.  It's a really neat device!
