I love the look of fairy lights because they are so small and delicate, adding sparkle and light to wherever you put them. I recently got some battery operated fairy lights and thought they would be great with my wreaths on my front door, but I have found it to be a pain to have to go outside and turn the lights on and off each evening. I saw this solar powered light set and thought maybe that might be easier to use with them.
The string is actually pretty long. It is a bit too much for my wreath hopes. I need something a little shorter to use for that. Plus, it was very hard to hide the solar panel without it being hidden from the sun rays, too. So that idea went out the window upon arrival. But I do have some trellises in the backyard that I have been wanting to add lights to, so I think they will look great woven in to my jasmine.
The lights have a small solar panel that works great to collect power from the sun. It is not overly large, so I am able to hide it amongst the plants while still keeping it out enough to generate power. There is also a yard stake for it. I actually staked it in the ground near the trellis, a little off to the side, but far enough out to get sun. It doesn't look bad and is semi-hidden behind the plants, but is far enough out to still work.
Definitely a nice way to add sparkle and light to the plants. Now I need to get some more for my other two trellises in the backyard. I highly recommend these to those looking for some light to your outdoor spaces. They are light and delicate and add just enough glow to make things really stand out at night!
