I like creating new hairstyles for my daughter and actively search out styling tools to help make it easier for me to do quickly. This set of hair braiding tools come with 6 different tools in 2 different sizes. The three larger tools measure seven and a half inches long and measure one inch wide. The larger tools come in three different colors which include one black, one grey and one white tool. The three smaller sized tools measure six inches long and measure one and one-fourth inches wide. The smaller tools come in three colors which include one black, one brown, and one crème color. 

This set comes with some very brief instructions for using them and claim to be easy to use. I found the instructions to be lacking in enough information to use the tools correctly so I did an internet search for some how-to videos for using similiar tools. I do know how to properly French braid and this doesn't quite give me the exact same look as a traditional French braid does, but it makes a pretty hairstyle. I found it difficult to get the tool started in the hair without it slipping so I use a small clear elastic to tie the starter strand and then slip the tip of the tool under the elastic to hold it more securely. I can then leave the elastic or leave it in her hair after I am finished styling it. I definitely still need to do some more practice with these tools to get a smoother finished hairstyle but they do make it fairly easy to create unique styles.
