This is one of those tools that automates those tedious tasks, like precision sanding, scraping, cutting, grout removing, etc. The device has 6 adjustable speeds and a multi-LED power indicator. It includes a rechargeable 12 volt battery pack, battery charger, and a 9-piece set of tool that attach to the unit by using the quick connect/disconnect lever on top of the tool. You can order a variety of other tools that fit the unit. Make sure that any additional blades, etc, that you purchase are 'quick connect' blades. This is my new favorite tool!
