This is a funky looking, infrared body thermometer - a very useful gadget to have at home particularly if you have a toddler or a small kid in your family.
The thermometer comes nicely packed inside plastic packaging, together with a user manual and x2 AAA batteries. I like the look and its simple, non-contact design and easy functions.
The thermometer is lightweight, compact and attractive in a blue and white colour combination. It looks and feels like a good quality product, and it comes in a gun design.
The device measures roughly 14 cm tall, by 3.8 cm wide and 8 cm deep front to back. It’s comfortable to hold and to take measurements and read them on a 2.3 cm x 2.3 cm, digital display with an LCD backlight.
The instruction manual is easy to follow. The device operates from x2 AAA batteries, and the battery compartment is located inside the handle. It’s easy to insert or remove batteries.
The thermometer can confirm a wide range of temperatures with fast and accurate readings, which are easy to see on the LCD display. With this device you can monitor body or surface temperature, and choose Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) display settings. You can also measure the temperature of food and drink (e.g. milk and water).
When the gadget is ready to use, you hold it and scan at the middle of the forehead (roughly 5 cm away from it), then press and release the white coloured measure button/trigger, and after a beeping sound, the reading will be displayed. It’s so simple that even young children can use it.
