For the past 5 months I have been making masks like crazy and selling them. I have gone through a TON of elastic and have tried a few different styles out. I found that I like the way this style feels. It is thinner than the 1/4" elastic that I began with, being only 1/8" instead (3mm). But what I like about it is that it feels softer than most elastic. When you have to wear a mask for extended periods of time it is easy for it to cause irritation behind your ears, which is why there are so many different types of mask holding tools out there now. But when I use elastic like this I don't find it rubs behind my ears or causes irritation or redness. I am able to wear my mask for longer periods of time without pulling at the elastic and moving it around on my ears. This set is 55 yards of elastic in one long piece so you can cut it to whatever length you want it to be. It ties easily and stays tied or can be sewn to the edges of your mask. I prefer to tie mine so that I can easily adjust it if the elastic stretches out or the mask shrinks when washing, and this is easy to tie and untie. I am very pleased with the quality of this elastic.
