Sticks are a hit!

I wasn't sure what to think of chew sticks for cats, but my cat was quite excited by them when I first gave him one!  He tossed it around, rolled on it, chewed on it a bit.  After about 20 minutes he seemed to ignore it, but later in the evening he brought it and dropped it at my feet.  I threw it down the hall and he ran to find it and brought it back!  I am not sure if that was a fluke but all in all these chew sticks seem to interest my old boy more than I had anticipated.  He's not easily amused!  I can imagine teething kittens would love them.  But there is something about the stick that is attractive to them.  I don't know if it is the vine itself or if they dipped them in catnip, but either way in the end it was worth the price just to play with something new.  And there are plenty to share with my friends who own cats, to see how other cats might react.
