Absolutely brilliant!
I have bought a few solar fountains over the years and can honestly say they were pretty rubbish. I have a small pebble pond in my garden and I really wanted something to bring it to life and make it look pretty. I saw the Gocheer fountain pump and I was drawn to the idea of having the LED lights in it at night. I didn't really have high expectations due to my previous experiences but how wrong I was.
The fountain arrived in a nice box and the size is perfect for what I wanted. I would say it's ideal for smaller ponds and bird baths. My first impression was how well made it seems to be. It's not cheap and flimsy. There are instructions included in the box but it was so simple to set up, I didn't really need them. There are 7 different nozzles that are included, and each gives a different effect in your fountain. The nozzle is simply screwed onto your solar panel & then you're ready to pop it in the water.
It does say that the solar pump will need to charge in the sun before it works, but I placed mine in the pond and it worked straight away. I was amazed. It wasn't at full flow, but it was enough to satisfy me that it was working. It was just so simple and I was really happy.
There are 4 anti drift plastic tubes in the box that, should you wish, you can fix on to the pump with the included clips. Again, thay are really easy to fix. This is a great extra addition and a very nice idea. It just means you are able to keep it in place without it floating to the side.
I only had it charging for a couple of hours before night time came and I was over the moon to see the lights were already working and the fountain was at full height. It's quite impressive how high this little pump goes. It looked absolutely beautiful.
I have had it a couple of days now, and the fountain is top quality. It works well and is at it's best when it's in strong sunlight. Another unexpected bonus is just how many birds it has bought into my garden. They seem to love having a bath in the spray, and it's so lovely to watch. I'm so glad I bought it.
I recommend this 100%. It's absolutely gorgeous.
