~ What ~
Made of glossy 157 gsm high-quality paper, this map of the world measures 17 by 24 inches and has a black foil on all land masses that can be scratched off, showing a colorful country or state underneath. The kit comes with a hanging photo rope, 5 mini-clothespins, 4 double-sided mounting tabs, and a scratching pen in an attractive gift tube. In addition, there are small icons on the bottom of each countries’ shapes that can be scratched off.

~ Why ~
One of our sons loves to travel the world, so with this map, he can track any of his past adventures as well as those to come. I like that the tool inside is for both precision detail and broad stroke removal of the foil. Having all the different colors of land underneath makes the map engaging. The attached cord with the black plastic mini-clothespins is an added touch for photographs of where one has been.

~ Why Not ~
Those who rarely travel or have no interest visiting parts of the globe will skip this product. Others may not like how small some of the countries/states are or that the kit had more hanging clothespins.

~ Wish ~
I wish this map were also available in silver or gold coating instead of black.

~ Want ~
If you want to map out all of your worldly travels with a flat wall map, this one that comes with added features would be an excellent choice.

Thanks to Royalin for this discounted item that I am under no obligation to evaluate.
