This is a set of LED 7.5" long light strips, powered by 4-AAA batteries (each) and controlled by either touch control or by the included IR remote control. They mount using self-adhesive magnetic strips, so you can mount them on almost any surface and take them down when you need to use them hand-held or to replace batteries. Since these lights are for use during power failure or other emergency, we suggest you use the best quality batteries you can get, so the lights will always be ready for use when necessary.
The remote has on/off buttons, dim/bright buttons, as well as being able to set automatic shutoff to 15-120 minutes. The remote control uses a button battery (included). The remote is IR, so the light needs to see the remote in order to work (like most TV's).
We will be installing these lights in our storm-shelter so that they will be ready in case of emergency. My only 'wish' is that the remote should have come with a wall-mount holder to keep the remote handy and easy to find in a hurry. Oh well, nobody's perfect huh?
