This is a good, heavy duty dog toy. I have dachshunds and Basset hounds and they all love this toy. The ball part is a hard rubber that has little grooves and helps clean their teeth as they chew on it. The rope part of the toy is thick and so far mine have not chewed t hrough it. You can use this to play tug o war or to throw to play fetch. Great to satisfy chewers and also good for exercise. I am happy with this and so are my dogs. It is a very good quality, durable, fun toy.
