Cute, but did not glow

I don't have a lot of house plants like I used to, but those I do have, I like to add embellishments to. I have used a variety of different decorations in them, always changing them out with new things. So I decided to give these a try and see how they looked. When I first ordered them I didn't read the description very well. I assumed they were bigger and I could use them on the patio in the plants I have outside. But they are definitely too small for that. I was a bit disappointed in that, since I thought the glowy illuminescent shapes would look great at night with my patio lights and other solar lights. I may still use a few of them in some of the smaller patio plants, but they are far too small for the larger pots I have. There are a ton of stakes in this bundle - a TON. I was impressed by how many. I have only used a small portion of them and look like a flock of insects have taken up residence in my plant in the kitchen window. The stakes themselves are kind of thin, so make sure the soil is soft when pushing them in so you don't bend or break them. I do have to say, while they look great in my plants, I have yet to see any glow from them. They have super tiny little solar panels on them, so maybe I don't have them unfolded enough or in direct sunlight. I expected the ones in the house not to glow (though being in the kitchen window I thought perhaps they might get some light and store it up), but the ones outside are dark at night. It disappointed me as that was a big selling point to me when buying. I also had a lot of them come bent and couldn't get the wings to straighten out flat. But that was a minor irritation since they still looked good and there were so many to choose from. Not bad, but not what I had hoped for entirely. Still cute, though.
