For the most part this pillow is great. As long as you can lay the seat back some, there is no problem. Unfortunately, this doesn't work when sitting in the back seat. The pillow is super firm so when you aren't reclined, it sort of pushes your head forward unless you get it set just right to be under your neck. Definitely difficult for a child to set for himself depending on his age.
