My brother in law enjoys fishing in Washington, so we decided to get this for him as a birthday gift. The scaler is actually bigger than what we anticipated. It's very well made and sturdy as opposed to others that can be flimsy. It was very easy to remove scales and rinse afterward. They can take a bit of getting used to as far as the grip, but once you get the hang of it, they're comfortable to grip a variety of sizes of fish. These were also very easy to clean and remove the scales when the job was over. Very good value for the price!
