This is a vertatile desk lamp, it is battery operated, using a built-in lithium battery that charges using a standard USB cable (included). The light is about 8.5 inches tall and 9.5 inches wide. The lamp is composed of 28 LEDs and the lamp head is adjustable to different positions. It has 3 levels of illumination, and is controlled by a touch-switch on the back of the unit.
As you know, as we get older, our sight gets worse. I needed this lamp to illuminate my workspace as I work on delicate jobs (disassembly of cellphones, soldering, etc). Being cordless, this light will be a vast improvement over my old way of illumination: using a flashlight which occupies one of my hands. With this new desk lamp, I have full use of both hands as I do my work. Very good investment!
