excited to start a holiday tradition

My husband and I never really had any holiday traditions when we were growing up so we decided that we wanted to start some with our daughter. I ordered this Advent Calendar for the holidays. My daughter was so excited when we opened it up and she saw all of the holiday designs of the felt ornaments. The calendar is shaped like a Christmas tree with Velcro pieces on the tree and on the back of the ornaments to stick them on the tree. She can redecorate the tree anyway that she likes by rearranging the felt shapes.

The calender is 3 feet tall and 26 inches wide. It has a red ribbon loop at the top for hanging and comes with an adhesive wall hook. Our hook was a red circle with a white silhouette of a reindeer and it has a silver metal hook. The bottom of the calendar has 24 numbered pockets to use to countdown until Christmas day and it comes with 24 felt ornaments. I plan on putting small toys and candies in each pocket. She will take out the contents of the pocket each morning and remove one of the ornaments from the felt tree to place in that pocket to mark the day.
The calendar is well made and the colors are very vivid. I am so excited to have this advent calendar become part of our family holiday celebrations.
