My boyfriend and I are pretty much split on how we like this massager. We both agree that rubber balls are a nice firmness while still having enough rubbery give that they aren't rock hard, and they do feel good against tight, sore muscles. That said, he doesn't feel the movement required to rub your own neck is comfortable or relaxing at all so he's not a big fan, but we give eachother massages often so he's pretty spoiled. I on the other hand think it's a pretty ingenious item for people who don't have someone around who is willing or able to rub their neck when it's sore. And it feels pretty good on my calves and thighs when they're tight as well. As cool as I think it is, I agree with my boyfriend that it's not "relaxing", per se. It's definitely more for sports massage or because your muscles hurt. It does take some getting used to, but once you have a nice rhythm down it definitely feels amazing on sore mucles and I think it's actually quite a bit easier to use this one than the other one I have which isn't the same brand but is very similar to this one:
While easier to use, the Voyor massager that I'm reviewing now is a little bit limited compared to the S shaped one in the link so I guess they each have their pros & cons.
Also, as stated in the description, this is a self-massager and I definitely wouldn't try to use it on anyone else because I really think it would be way to easy to apply too much pressure on someone else. And one more tip, the texture of the rubber balls is pretty smooth, with little divets like a golf ball, but it does have a slight tendency to pull neck hairs if you're not careful.
