Makes Clean up easier

I never really have understood how the fridge gets to be so messy.  I mean the containers have secure lids, the condiments have lids, the bottles have lids - so how do we end up with so many spills inside the fridge?     I absolutely hate cleaning the fridge.  I'm paranoid about food getting too warm.  After the last set of spills, I made my teenage daughter wipe down all the shelves even though I was pretty sure her brother was the culprit.   She asked for some refrigerator mats so I decided to try this pack from Zinnor on Amazon.    We washed them with hot soapy water and they were pretty easy to dry.   They averaged about 11 x 17 inches.  Unfortunately, I didn't pay attention when I ordered them because they don't fit my shelves (and we have a smaller fridge).  We have two on one shelf and then the other two shelves are only partially covered.      The mats are advertised as moisture and water proof, mildew free and they did not smell at all when opened which is a big plus for me.     They are easy to clean and wipe down.  They aren't saving my shelves completely, but the mats are making it easier to clean up those messes.
