So, if you ever tend to use incense, I am sure that you are familiar with the problem that incenses from various brands all smell and burn different. I decided to give this incense pack by Corcio a try because it gives a great sampling of their various scents without needing to commit to buying 50 or 100 sticks at one time. The package arrived undamaged and it came with five individual types of incense with eight sticks of each type. Each of the types of incense came in their own box with individual plastic wrapping. None of the incense sticks were broken either, which was a slight concern buying incense sticks online. The five scents included are lavender, rose, jasmine, lily, and lotus.
I tried each of the five scents when they arrived using a standard incense burner. I tried the Lavender first, it was a nice scent if a touch stronger than I usually like. That said, it did not smell like Lavender at all, just a standard strong, burning smell. However, the stick is really thin as well and it burned really quickly. I also tried the other four scents and I had the same results. I was able to get a bit of a floral smell from the Lily and Jasmine, but it was buried beneath the burning wood smell. The rose smells a bit foul honestly, and I am not going burn the rest of that pack. Each of the incense sticks is colored to match the proposed scent, which I suspect might explain the slight variations in the burning smell.
Overall, I would only give this product a 2 of 5 stars. The incense sticks did not smell at all like the scents they were advertised as. At the cost of $8.99, you get 40 incense sticks without any discernable scent other than burning wood and a bit of a foul odor on the rose. They burn quickly. I did give it the 2 stars because it did mask other scents in the room, as advertised, and they burn nicely without needing to relight the incense stick part of the way down.
