Nice Collection of Stainless Steel Straws

This is a nice all-in-one collection of straws to get all at once, to help get your household off the plastic straws.  They come with brushes for cleaning and rubber tips to protect your lips from the cold metal (I don't use them, though!)  My biggest and only complaint about these (I already had a set of 4 stainless straws which I like very much) is that they are so narrow-- much thinner than say a McDonald's straw-- that they fall through the silverware basket in my dishwasher.  Now that might not be the best place to wash these, perhaps better by hand-- but my other stainless straws are nice and fat and they clean right up in the dishwasher.  That these fall through (and the mesh screen on my dishwasher silverware basket is pretty fine) and then slide under the sprayer arm...there is no harm, just a kind of a pain.  The value can't be beat but if you expect to put them in the dishwasher....just give up on that idea altogether.  That said, they are great for water, sodas etc - but not OK for pulpy juice, milkshakes, smoothies or anything with bits in it or thickness-- they're just not wide enough.  I'd say they are just half again bigger than the width of a lollipop stick.  (Like those old Capri cigarettes, even!)  Good quality, good value all the same.
