Great innovative appliance - very convenient

The ice cube maker was very well packaged and considering the weight of the item this was essential . It was transported in a box within a box which was padded out with paper . Delivery was very fast and it arrived the day after it was ordered.

For many years I have purchased bags of ice from the supermarket and let's face it they are not the easiest of things to lug about especially when you are picking them up on your weekly food shop and even when you get home they are hard to store in terms of freezer space. Making cubes yourself in trays is even more of a hassle and an inconvenience. 

The maker offers a very large capacity - its bigger than I first imagined. I love the fact that you can make two different sizes of cube - large and small and that it takes such a short amount of time to make so in theory you can conveniently always have ice to hand. 

I can foresee that the maker is going to be heavily used over the festive period . How great it will be especially for new years drinks. I think I have been living under a rock as I didnt even know you could purchase such size machines for home use.  

The machine is relatively easy to operate . One only has to basically add water to the tank - choose the size of cube the default is large if not changed and fully formed  ice cubes are ready in approximately ten minutes. I think that in the long run the machine will be extremely cost effective as I will never have to buy bags of ice again. 

Once working the machine isnt quiet but isnt overwhelmingly loud either.  If you dont remove all of the ice once melted the water is returned to the tank . On the first batch I didn't realise just how much ice would get made so have ended up putting some into zip locked bags in the freezer . I must recommend that you purchase freezer bags as they are a lifesaver and some of the ice can get kept to use at a later time. 

Overall whilst I understand that not everybody will have a kitchen big enough to house such a machine - it is innovative, trendy and definitely a conversation starter if you have friends or family around .

Once the machine has been used it is also great to note that there is an auto clean function making life even more easier .
