ALOVA Bluetooth Headphones with Mic

I bought these headphones because I was intrigued by the design. They wrap around your head and sit over the ear. I find the usual in - ear buds a bit painful over time, but with this design, the earbuds don't go anywhere near your inner ear. I do find that they rub a bit when I've got my glasses on, but that's a purely personal thing.

The wraparound design does have an effect on the sound to be honest. It's not a fully immersive experience and I am able to still hear everything else going on around me. They will not be to everyones taste, but I can see the benefits of this idea. It's nice to have music, but sometimes you still need to be able to hear what's going on around you. It makes things like crossing the road etc much less of a hazard than when using conventional earbuds that block out those important sounds. I do think they would be a perfect safety feature for joggers who need to be aware of their surroundings. It would make me feel much safer to be able to hear if someone is approaching, 

The build quality is ok and the charging time is excellent. They are so simple to pair and I didn't experience any problem with connection. 

I think if you buy these expecting them to be the best sounding headphones you've ever experienced, you will be disappointed. However, if you buy these fully aware that they will sit in front of your ears and are going to leak sound, then you will start to see the benefits of this idea in certain situations. I think it's a fact, you don't always need perfect immersive sound. Sometimes you want the fun of listening to your music, but you still need a sense of your surroundings - sometimes safety is more important than sound quality. These will give you that assurance.
