~ What ~
This kit contains a humane bark collar that does not shock or hurt a dog. With an adjustable neck strap from 9 to 22 inches, the barking monitor has 2 modes of beeping and 7 vibrations that escalate as the barking increases. It arrives with a rechargeable USB cable, 2 extra plastic prongs, 2 color covers, and instructions in a gift box, ready for giving.
~ Why ~
We have an almost 4-year-old beagle who has a loud piercing bark that is hard to control. I like that this collar does not hurt or shock our dog but startles him when he barks by first beeping per each bark and then increasing in beeps and vibrations. In testing it, our dog barked once the first time and seemed confused, barked 2 more times and the unit beeped, then did not make another sound.
~ Why Not ~
Some may not like training their dogs with any type of bark collar, especially those that could possibly injure their beloved pet. Others may find the unit bulky for their canine to wear. The battery has to be recharged via an enclosed USB charger, so it may go dead quickly based on your animal’s barking behavior.
~ Wish ~
Although the unit is lightweight, I wish it were not so bulky.
~ Want ~
If you are tired of hearing your dog’s endless barking, this gadget may work for you if your dog responds to sounds and vibrations. Although our dog did not bark again tonight, I may have to update my review if he gets used to it and continues to bark the next few days.
Thanks to DogRook for this discounted product that I am under no obligation to review.
