Messy when arrived

I ordered this contour kit hoping to be able to learn more about applying makeup and creating a more toned and polished look. I don't do my makeup, other than my eyes and some lipstick usually, so thought maybe I would start playing around with various kits like this and see what I could do while I am sitting home with the 2 year old each day. I purchased highlighter already, but saw this contour kit and knew I needed to have it if I wanted to learn to do things like I was seeing in videos. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with it once it arrived. The packaging is very cheap and flimsy, so the product inside was a mess. It wasn't broken and falling out, but there was powder all over everything. I was able to press some of the larger pieces of powder back down, but am not pleased with the mess it arrived as. Other than that, it seems like the colors might work okay with my skin. I plan to start watching tutorials and applying it soon, but haven't tried yet. I only used a brush to test it on my hand and it seemed like it is decent. It is a powdery feel and blends nicely, leaving a smooth finish behind. And it wipes clean with makeup remover. So while I was not pleased with the packaging and condition it arrived in, it seems to be a decent starter kit for me to practice with. Experienced makeup artists may be disappointed though.
