I purchased this set for my homeschooling daughter to use as a STEM activity. This is a really well made set of tangram puzzles and wooden pieces. I love that this encourages kids creativity and has an educational value to it. It gets them thinking and using their brain instead of just sitting there watching tv. Plus this helps with hand eye coordination.
This includes a set of pattern cards so the kids can build the puzzles to match the designs on the cards.
The pieces are wooden and not plastic. I like them playing with wooden toys whenever possible instead of plastic. There is a storage bag included so it makes for easy clean up and easy carry. We can take it to restaurants so it gives them something to do while we wait.
This is a good toy for kids from probably 3 to 10 or 11 to play with, but wouldn't be appropriate for kids who still put things in their mouths. It is a good quality set, and makes a good gift.
