This grinder is plastic with metal grinding teeth and chamber. There are 3 pieces to this grinder. The top (BB-8 Droids head & top half), the inside grinding gears and the bottom half of the BB-8 Droid.   When you take off the top/head piece you will see the center ring with the grinding teeth. The top of the grinding teeth is built into the inside of BB-8 Droids top/head section.   If you unscrew the inner center circle with the bottom grinding teeth, you will reveal a chamber. This grinder is built to use this chamber as a kief catcher. There is no other holding chamber.   There is a fine screen base under the bottom grinding teeth that allows the pollen or kief to fall down into the bottom chamber.
