~ What ~
Made of colorfully painted wood, this set contains a 26-piece dog puzzle and a 26-piece train puzzle with each having the alphabet letters printed on one side and numbers on their other side. When completed, the dog measures 9.8 by 6.5 inches, and the train is 10 by 7 inches. The 2 puzzles arrive without instructions in a cellophane bag, ready for giving.

~ Why ~
Having an almost 5-year-old grandson going into kindergarten and an almost 2-year-old granddaughter out of state, I love to bring them fun, educational gifts when we visit. This set is perfect for both ages as the little one can recognize colors while the older can visualize putting the alphabet or numbers in order, making the dog or train. I like that the pieces are made out of durable wood and not plastic or cardboard.

~ Why Not ~
Some children may find the pieces hard to handle and put together or not know the alphabet or numbers. While the alphabet is printed in logical order, the numerals are in a strange order, which may cause some confusion and frustration. The pieces are small so should be kept away from babies or closely monitored by adults.

~ Wish ~
It would be ideal if a frame could be incorporated into each puzzle so it could be turned over to view easily from either side.

~ Want ~
If your young children enjoy doing puzzles, these 2 are great to have with their alphabet and numbers listed on each piece.
