It's cute...

My toddler son enjoys playing with his matchbox cars on this adorable black and white floor rug. 

I wouldn't call it a rug though. Nor is it a mat. It is more of a linen type fabric similar to the texture of some cloth napkins I've seen. It's not rough by any means. It's comfortable enough for my son to lay on and play cars on for an hour or two at a time. It's just that it is not the ideal material to be placed on the floor on a permeant basis. If you want this to last your kids a good amount of time so that they can get all the use out of it that their little hearts desire, I'd suggest folding it up and keeping it stored on a shelf or with your child's.matchbox car storage case of they have one! Obviously, that's what I have gotten in the habit of doing after each play session. It has helped to give it a nice long play life. After a few months it's 99% stain free which would not have been the case had I given it a permeant place on my son's playroom floor. 

I can't say that this would be my first choice or that I'd purchase this again if this one needed to be replaced and that's why I choose to give it a three star rating. I'd originally purchased this hoping that it would have a home in the floor 24/7 and that was a let down.

It has a great modern decor black and white theme that is simple and not overly busy...which is exactly what a yound mind needs. Their imaginations can add in the colors of the land ya know. That's the high point for me, that it is great for playtime for our littlest ones.
