I have been wanting to get a play tent for my son for the longest time.
This tent does not disappoint!
I was originally looking to get my son a circus themed tent from Ikea. It has the same look and shape of this tent. I'm so glad I didn't get that and instead chose to go with this!
While it is the same look/shape of the one from Ikea, it is certainly bigger. We visted the store recently so we got to compare. Not only is it noticeably bigger but I prefer the look of this tent. The theme is cuter and has more detail compared to the one from Ikea.
The quality seems to be similar to the one from the furiture store but the cost is a whole lot cheaper!
So same quality and cheaper price is an obvious win for me.
My husband helped me set up the tent. We've never set up any sort of tent before, so it was definitely an experience for the both of us. Not neccssarily hard, but it did take us a while, and I'm not sure if one of us would have been able to do it by ourselves. But once we figured out how to best do it, it was a piece of cake. Once it was set up the tent was very stable. We had first set it up outside with a bit of wind so we were able to witness its sturdiness. Not sure if we'd want to fold it away for storage since we might not want to tackle it again, but I'm sure it won't be that difficult to store it back into the storage bag it came with.
My son is 3, going on 4, and he fit into the tent with plenty of room. My husband and I (one of us at a time, not both of us) are able to crawl inside along with him and still have some room around. I know for sure it wouldn't be possible to do in the Ikea tent. I do wish the front flap was a little taller since there is some clearance up there, and my son, while small for his age, still has to slouch down in order to enter the tent. But that's not too much of a hinderance. Just a preference.
If you have young kids and have been hesitating on getting them a play tent, stop and get them this! You will not regret it!
