I have been big on decorating my home for Christmas for years. I have had tubs of holiday decorations and the kids have now gotten in the habit of helping me out with the decorating, loving it as much as I do. But many of our decorations are looking aged and worn, so it is time for some new decorations. I decided to add some window clings to the mix and decided to pick up as many sets of these as I could, since they were not expensive.
There are many different options to pick from on these window clings. I have sets A, B, C, D, E, F, and H. I am only missing set G from the collection now. I told the kids, we have enough clings to cover every window and sliding door in our home, as well as add to mirrors, the fireplace doors, and even add some to tvs and computer monitors if we want. We have a TON.
They are simple to use. I was able to pull them off and apply them directly to the windows and tv with no water or moisture whatsoever. The directions tell you to use water and then apply the cling and scrape with a card or straight surface to get bubbles and water out before wiping any water from the window. But you don't need the water to get them to stick. They are able to stick without it.
The listings say they are made of environmentally-friendly PVC material that is non-toxic, environmental protection (whatever that might mean), as well as waterproof. They can be a bit challenging to peel from the backing without taking the paper with it, but they stick back to the sheet when you are done, so can easily store them away for safe keeping year after year.
I was surprised at the size of some of them. Some are a bit smaller than I thought they would be. The larger images could be a little larger. If you want to put them in your front windows, it may be challenging to see them from the street, especially if you have a larger front yard. But the snowflakes and candies are all decent sizes and easily fill in around the other clings.
There are tons of different designs. In the various sets you get a lot of snowflakes, ornaments, candies, trees, Santas, reindeer, gingerbread houses, and more. One of the Santas is a bit creepy looking, though. We all agreed he would not be gracing our windows because he just has a really weird look to him. But of all we got, there was only one that made me question whether he would be used. And even in that set, the rest of the clings are great and I have no concerns.
If you are looking for an easy, reusable way to add some charm to your windows each Christmas, these sets are a great way to go. I am glad I got almost the entire collection. We have more than enough to pick from. Now if they could do some other holidays, I would be thrilled. I would have no problem picking up clings for Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentine's Day, and some patriotic/Fourth of July themes. I would love to see those.
