1 have a Border Terrier and this slicker brush is brilliant for getting his under-coat out. I was told that Borders don't shed but this one does and it helps a lot, also he enjoys it which surprised me when I saw the comb you use, but he jumps up onto the chair that we use for brushing the dogs without being told so that shows he loves it, another good thing is the retrackable brush head so much easier to remove the hair, the brush retracts and leaves the hair there for you to throw away, but at the moment the birds are using it for lining the nest, so even better.
It is well worth paying the extra for being able to clean the brush so easierly and I would recommend this brush, especially if you have a Border Terrier.

 

This brush is amazingly handy for grooming dogs who have thick, dense fur which constantly clogs up normal brushes, as the button-operated 'self cleaning' design makes it incredibly easy to get rid of the removed fur, without having to wrestle it out of the teeth of the brush.

The button itself could be easier to actuate, but considering the price, it is perfectly adequate and the vast majority of people could use it without much effort. When retracted, the teeth are completely secluded, leaving a smooth surface, which is extremely useful if you need to carry a let brush around, but don't want the teeth destroying other things in the same container/ba
