I love this light! It is so sleek looking. To turn the light on you simply touch the silver ring at the top. It is powered by electric outlet. It can be angled nearly anyway you need it. This light makes it so much easier to read, especially when you have it near your computer screen. It brightens an area up to a 35 inch range. It reduces any glare that would normally be on your computer screen. After turning it on the built in sensor detects the amount of ambient light and adjusts itself to the amount of light in the room. You can also adjust the lighting level if you prefer it brighter or darker and/or cooler or warmer with the knob that is on the light. The light is an LED light. The actual light is curved. The light is flexible and there is no flicker. The LED light has a 17 year lifespan.
