stand by me

If you are looking for the lightest, best priced and well made laptop stand then this is one you should consider!
The engineering that went into this laptop stand is EXCELLENT.
The quality of the workmanship is very profesional and for most laptop owners and tablet users it is a GREAT stand if you want portability or need a stand to take with you on travel or simply sit on limited space on the office desk. It is NOT a stand that you could use on an unstable surface such as your knee or a cushion.
Although the arms of this stand look very thin and unstable this is NOT the case - I placed my small netbook and a tablet on it and I am more than happy that I choose it.
having said that - I have to say that if you own a larger laptop that has a curved design on the bottom - you need to be careful! - The reason i say this is that the bottom 'hooks' that flip out to stop the computer from sliding out of the stand are ( in my opinion) just a little too short!
If you have the stand on the 1st or 2nd level of elevation the stand works well and is solid when typing - if you elevate it any higher - theres the chance that your laptop will slide out of the bottom of the stand and fall onto the nearest contact surface.
Don't get me wrong I am not dismissing this stand as a "Do not buy" - quite the opposite - I am saying..decide when you buy it if your laptop can sit at a safe angle before you start working on it!!
So.. I m reasonably happy to give this product a high 4 star rating - it's lightweight, made well, expands proficiently and the aesthetic look won't take anything away or suggest that it is a cheap alternative.
It's priced about right for it's capabilities and my final comment is, "Yes buy it and judge for yourself"
