Kind of flimsy

I picked up this bottle set hoping that I could use it with the kittens, but didn't read the description well enough. It is the type you attach to the side of the cage for a guinea pig or hamster (or bird). It has the bottle, the attachment for the cage, and a stand you can put it in that helps it stand upright. The stand has a little bowl on the side you can add food to as well. It took me forever to figure that part out. I had thought the water dripped down in to the bowl and thought it would work for the little babies I am bottle feeding and trying to wean. But it won't work for our needs. They get a bowl instead. I actually felt the entire set up was cheap, though. It is not very thick and durable and the pieces that attach to the side of the cage are made of cheaper plastic. If it had metal attachments it would be better, but it is plastic and not the greatest. The sand was a nice addition, though, and could help if your guinea pig or other animal doesn't knock it over. It is your typical upside down dispenser. It has the little metal tube in the bottom with a ball that they push in with their tongue to release the water and drink. If I had a rodent or something that could use this, I still am not sure if I would since it feels so flimsy to me.
