As a father with a 1-year-old, this is a life savior for any and all car rides that I decide to tag him along with. I simply strap in my iPad and connect it to the hotspot, select YouTube Kids and be on my way. It's a small accessory that any and all parents should have if they don't already have a source of entertainment for the little ones.
Before I dive into my personal experience, I want to cover the basics of this tablet holder and all that's included. It's compatible with the iPad Pro 9.7/10.5, the iPad Air Mini 2/3/4, the iPhone X, the iPhone 7/8, the iPhone 7/8 Plus, the iPhone 6/6 Plus, the Samsung Tab, the Kindle Fire, the Nintendo Switch and various tablets and smartphones. In my case, my iPad (2017) fitted perfectly with space to spare, if needed. Whether I drove on a brand new paved road or through rough terrain, it remained in place and my son didn't fuss whatsoever.
The body of this holder was built with 360-degree free rotation and what they call triple protection. In other words, I was able to strap in my iPad and rotate it to my ideal position that my son could easily enjoy it from his car seat with little to no issues. In addition, there was padding on the left, right, and back to protect my iPad from any scratching or rubbing during transportation.
And as with any device, it needed to be charged when it was running low on juice. Rather than removing my iPad, charging it, then placing it back into the holder; I simply connected the cable through the open slot. In fact, I could turn my iPad, either way, to charge it and still have no issues while doing so.
I personally recommend it for parents like myself and those that wish to provide entertainment to their backseat passengers. For less than $12, it's an investment with a short-term turnaround.
