beautiful feather paper bookmarks

I bought these to use during our summer reading program at our local library. Our theme this year is animals so I figured these would be perfect for our section on birds. The package comes with two boxes of 30 paper bookmarks for a total of 60 bookmarks. The bookmarks are made of a 350g white cardboard material similar to the thickness of cardstock. The bookmarks are about 6 inches long and vary in width depending on the design of the feather. The colors are incredibly beautiful and the feathers are all different patterns. The backs of the bookmarks are blank so a name, quote or personalized message could be written on it. It could also be used to write quick notes on as you are reading your book.

I intend to use some of the bookmarks for decorating the bulletin board and give the others to the kids. It will be fun to see if we can identify the different species of birds by the patterns of the feathers. We plan on having them write their names and some information that they learned and then laminating the bookmarks to make them more durable.
